6. Decoupling Status and Income
Earthly research 2025–2026: In 2025, an experiment was conducted in the Netherlands: three city officials were paid exactly the same as garbage collectors, while keeping status insignia. Result: two of the three officials demanded a raise after 6 months. Status without income does not work on Earth – shown by Harvard and LSE studies.
New horizon: If this works on Burhad, then either Burhadians lack the neural circuit linking status to expectation of greater resources, or their "mission" overrides this circuit. New horizon: If the contact's hypothesis is correct, earthly economics must include egregorial diagnostics in its toolkit.
