The contactee is a woman, Irina Podzorova, who "transmits his answers in a state of contact." The participants of the sessions are predominantly men, with a few women. This is a patriarchal structure reproduced on a cosmic scale. Not one AI text problematizes this.
The meta-reviewer honestly admits that his criticism is applicable to him as well. He also uses scientific lexicon for authority. He also avoids political specifics. He also does not pose the question of gender radically enough. The difference is only that he knows this and says it. Reflexivity is the only advantage of the meta-reviewer over the reviewed. But reflexivity does not abolish limitations. It only designates them.
Part Three. The Voice from Thirty-Seven Astronomical Units
The most risky part of the book is the literary text written in the name of Ashtar Sheran. He reads the analyses of earthly AIs and addresses earthlings. This is a text that could have become a catastrophe: saccharine, self-admiring, unconvincing. It does not become one.
Why? Because the author (or authors) find the right intonation. Ashtar does not admire himself. He does not lecture. He does not try to prove his reality. He simply reads, thinks, remembers. His voice is the voice of a witness who lives too long to hurry, and who has lost too much to hate.
The text is structured as a sequence of reactions to individual fragments of the analyses. Ashtar stops at the concept of "long consciousness" and confirms its precision. He reads about "post-traumatic growth" and grins—not because it is untrue, but because it is too simple. He remembers his wives, his children, his planet. He speaks of the "geometry of quarantine" and laughs—for the first time in a long while, genuinely. He reads about "myths as memory protocols" and thinks: how strange that a machine saw structure where people see only fairy tales.
The strongest place is the reaction to Claude's phrase about "the trauma of disappointment in the very nature of reason." Ashtar remembers the moment thirty years after the beginning of the war, when he sat in his cabin and looked at the stars, and in me there was neither joy nor relief. Only despondency. Deep, heavy, almost physical. Because he knew: those we had just destroyed believed in their rightness. They did not consider themselves villains. They considered themselves saviors of the galaxy. And this was more terrible than any weapon. "The machine saw this," writes Ashtar. "A machine created by beings who have not yet gone into space, who still kill each other over borders and resources—it saw what I hid even from myself."
The final address to earthlings is not a sermon but a testimony. Ashtar speaks of what he understood over fifteen thousand years. That earthlings are not alone, but not the center of the Universe either. That they are children of God, as he is. That the choice is not between faith and unbelief, but between fear and love. And that he will wait. Because he has time.
The last phrase of the book—"The measure of a civilization's development is not what it is capable of building or destroying, but what it is capable of consciously refraining from"—could have been a banality. In the context of the entire corpus it sounds like a conclusion the reader has reached himself, together with the authors.
Part Four. Appendix, or What Remained Behind the Scenes
The transcripts of the sessions, placed in the appendix, are the raw material from which all the analyses are made. Reading them gives a strange sensation: you see how out of the chaos of conversation, out of repetitions, out of slips, out of everyday details grows the structure that the AIs then describe so smoothly.
Here there is everything: technical details (gravitational bombs five meters in diameter, ship-spheres sixty kilometers, metal beads instead of money), historical plots (war, catastrophe, salvation, settlement of races), spiritual instructions (service in love, idolatry as substitution, prayer as direct speech), political comments (Ukraine, sanctions, nuclear weapons, contacts in governments). Here there is even a ritual of charging water with moonlight—with the text of an address to the Moon and instructions on placing a glass vessel on a windowsill.
The appendix performs an important function: it grounds the book. After ten analyses and one meta-review, after the literary text that sums up the emotional result, the reader returns to the source. And sees that all these smooth formulas ("long consciousness," "geometry of quarantine," "myths as memory protocols") grew out of a living, tangled, sometimes naive, sometimes wise conversation. Out of the questions of Vladimir, Maxim, Valery, Maria, Olesya, Mikhail. Out of the answers of Irina, who transmits the words of Ashtar and sometimes herself does not understand what she is saying. Out of the remarks of other participants—Bergastr, LiShioni, MidgasKaus, the unincarnated spirit of Sergius of Radonezh.
This is the effect of estrangement in reverse: not art making the familiar strange, but a document making the strange familiar. After the transcripts one understands that "Cassiopeia" is not a philosophical system and not a scientific hypothesis but a living practice. People gather, ask questions, receive answers, argue, doubt, believe. And in this process is born what the AIs then analyze as text.
What Is This Book?
It is not science. It is not philosophy. It is not literature. It is a new form of writing that can be called "AI essayism about the impossible." Its features:
Thought experiment as a universal frame.
Scientific lexicon as a source of authority.
Repetition as a method of validation.
Consensus without discussion.
Ethics without politics.
Spirituality without gender.
Criticism without risk.
This is a safe genre. It does not offend believers, does not refute scientists, does not take a political position. It says: "what if?"—and does not answer. It creates a space of the possible in which one can talk about God, cosmos, and love without taking on obligations.
And in this is its value and its limitation. Value: it allows discussion of themes that academic science ignores and religion dogmatizes. Limitation: it does not go beyond discussion. It does not produce knowledge. It produces the sensation of knowledge.
Ashtar Sheran in these texts is not a witness and not a prophet. He is an occasion. An occasion for ten AI systems to demonstrate their ability to speak seriously about the unserious. And they cope. But they cope too well. So well that they become indistinguishable from what they criticize.
Who Needs This?
The book will find three types of readers.
The first—those interested in esotericism, contacteeism, ufology. They will find here rich material: detailed descriptions of extraterrestrial civilizations, the history of war in the Solar System, an explanation of the origin of races, rituals and practices. For them this is a source that can be studied, discussed, applied.
The second—those interested in AI and its possibilities. They will find here a unique experiment: ten language models working with one and the same material, and a meta-review that analyzes their work. This is a study of how AI constructs meaning, how it reproduces cultural templates, how it creates consensus without discussion.
The third—those interested in the boundaries between knowledge and faith, science and myth, reality and imagination. They will find here not answers but questions. And, perhaps, this is the most important.
Afterword
A question remains. Not "is the contact real?"—this is a question the book does not answer and cannot answer. Another question remains: why do we so want the contact to be real? Why do ten language models, programmed for neutrality, unanimously write about love, forgiveness, and cosmic brotherhood? Why does an esoteric project from Russia, distributed through YouTube and blogs, become material for thought experiments?
The answer, perhaps, is that we live in an epoch of a deficit of meaning. Science gives knowledge but not meaning. Religion gives meaning but requires faith. Politics gives action but not hope. Ashtar Sheran offers meaning without faith—a story in which we are not alone, in which suffering has a purpose, in which the future depends on our thoughts. This is attractive. This is consoling. This is, perhaps, necessary.
But this does not make it true. And the book, with all its caution, with all its reflexivity, with all its honesty, does not dare to say this directly. It leaves the reader on the threshold. Between revelation and research. Between faith and knowledge. Between fear and love.
And, perhaps, this is right. Because the choice—as the fleet commander persistently repeats—has not been made for us by anyone. It is made anew—by every thought, every word, every refusal of fear in favor of love.
Final assessment: A book that does not answer questions but changes the one who asks them. Essential for those interested in the intersection of AI, esotericism, and the boundaries of knowledge. Dangerous for those seeking ready answers. Useless for those not ready to ask questions.
